Shipping Policy
Every work ships from Tokorozawa, Saitama, Japan. We dispatch within 5 business days of your order being confirmed, pack each piece by hand, and insure every shipment. All prices and shipping rates include Japanese consumption tax.
Shipping falls into three bands based on the size of the work. The band that applies to your piece is shown on its product page and again at checkout.
1. Standard-size works
- Within Japan: free (all 47 prefectures) — estimated 3–5 business days
- International: flat ¥12,000 — estimated 10–15 business days
We ship to 27 countries and regions: United Arab Emirates, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Singapore, United States.
2. Large works
- Within Japan: ¥11,000 — estimated 3–5 business days
- Okinawa is not covered. Please contact hello@kumogallery.com before ordering and we will arrange delivery individually.
- Large works cannot currently be shipped internationally through the online store. Please get in touch if you would like one sent abroad.
3. Oversized works
Oversized works are delivered by the gallery in person, normally within 5–8 business days.
- Kanto (Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa): ¥10,000
- Chubu, Kansai and nearby (Fukushima, Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Yamanashi, Nagano, Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Nara): ¥15,000
- The remaining 24 prefectures and all international destinations are quoted individually. Please write to hello@kumogallery.com.
Packing
Originals are packed with the stretcher protected, in padding and reinforced board. Oversized works are carried in and placed by gallery staff, who are happy to advise on hanging. Please keep the packing materials — you will need them if you return the work.
Delivery estimates
The business-day estimates above are counted from dispatch. Weekends, public holidays, the New Year period, weather and traffic can shift them. We email a tracking number when your work ships.
Customs and import duties (international orders)
Customs duty, import tax and clearance fees may be charged in the destination country. These are the customer's responsibility.
Damage or non-delivery
Every shipment is insured. If a work arrives damaged or fails to arrive, write to hello@kumogallery.com as soon as you can and we will replace or refund it at our cost. See our refund policy for the full terms.
